4. Add interactive components to frame

To create the video overlay elements, we'll need to use interactive components. We'll walk through the steps to create the first interactive component below, which which can be followed to create the remaining video overlay elements.

Create interactive component & establish connections

Here we created the vector shapes and added a text layer over the top, then framed the layers to create the element. We then converted the element to a component, added two variants and established the connections between them.

Configure interaction properties including start & end timing

Set after-delay trigger, change-to action, and smart animate transition type.

To configure start & end timing, set the first transition's after-delay duration equal to the time in the video the element should first appear. Set the after-delay duration of the second transition equal to the length of time the element should remain on screen.

Remove all child elements from the first and last variant so there is nothing shown before the first transition begins and after the last transition ends.

Add instance as new layer in front of video

Drop an instance of the interactive component into the top-level frame at the X/Y coordinates where the element should appear over the video.
