When embedding a GIF/video in your design file, keep the dimensions of the video fill shape equal to the resolution of the source video. Otherwise the quality of the final video export may degrade due to scaling limitations.
⚠️ Symptoms
Here is an example of pixelation & flickering that can occur if video fill shape dimensions are significantly different than source video resolution:
🔍 How to check
Re-add source video
Re-add the source video file to the canvas using copy/paste or drag/drop. This approach will create a new shape layer containing the video in the same dimensions of the original resolution.
Compare shape dimensions
Compare dimensions of existing & re-added source videos to check if equal.
🔧 How to fix
Change the resolution of the original video using a free video editing software like iMovie or Clip Champ, then re-add the video file to the canvas using copy/paste or drag/drop.
